OUR FOUNDER

Christin St. John is currently in the MFA Program at Tisch for Film & Television at New York University. Christin graduated from UCLA in 2014.

She was commissioned in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2016 and deployed as a Communication Strategy and Operations Officer throughout Europe and Africa 2018- 2019 specifically, Italy, Spain, Germany, Uganda, Ghana, France, Finland, and Romania. In Aug 2020, she resigned her commissioning from the Marine Corps in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and moved to New York City to attend NYU. Her academic experience spans both narrative and documentary filmmaking, which has allowed her to develop a versatile skill set across various film content styles.

OUR MISSION

The Veteran Filmmakers Residency is dedicated to the comprehensive development of filmmaking projects, encompassing the writing, shooting, and post-production/distribution stages.

Our program places a strong emphasis on providing participants with a broad understanding of the film industry through exposure to esteemed industry speakers, interactive workshops, and in-depth information about the festival circuit.

Our first annual FILMMAKER RESIDENCY APPLICATION WILL OPEN 2026.
